After meeting a couple of times in class at CU Boulder, we finally went on our first date back in January of 2020 to St Mary’s Glacier

Madi got lucky in the permit lottery! This was Madi’s second time hiking Half Dome and Daniel’s first time hiking half dome

Madi’s parents found this little guy in the parking lot of her dad’s work in Albuquerque, so we took him in when he needed a home! (Thanks to the international cat distribution system!)

Daniel took Madi skiing for the first time - only a few tears were shed during the learning process!

Daniel and Madi hiked to the top of Colorado's highest peak at Mt. Elbert!
May 2021 | Graduation
We both graduated from CU Boulder in Electrical and Computer Engineering in May 2021. We had many late night study sessions and had a virtual graduation

Our first international trip together!
June 2021 | First Backpacking Trip
Finding one of our favorite hobbies together! We went on our first backpacking trip to Conundrum Hot Springs in Aspen Colorado
June 2021 | Hot Air Ballooning
Headed down to Angel Fire to go Hot Air Ballooning with the Black Magic Woman. Madi and her Dad met Laurie, the pilot of Black Magic Woman, in 2017 and began volunteering to crew her balloon since!
July 2021 | Madi and Daniel Move
After graduating, Madi jump started her career at Eprius, a defense contractor startup, in LA and took the big leap to move to Hermosa Beach, CA
Daniel moved to Colorado Springs to work as a software developer for Progressive Insurance. Long distance is hard :(
Mar 2022 | Daniel Moves to LA
After living in Colorado Springs for almost 8 months and securing full time remote work, Daniel made the move out to Madi and Pickles in LA!

We got to go to our first camping festival together! Together we discovered our love for live music
June 2022 | Mt Whitney
Madi got lucky in the permit lottery once again and we got to hike the tallest peak in the lower 48 states!
July 2022 | Half Dome (again)
Madi’s friend won the permit lottery this time and we got to hike half dome again!
Sep 2022 | Move back to Colorado
After a full year of adventures in LA, we made the move back to our favorite place with our favorite people!
We went to Lake McConoghay which is now an annual trip we go on

After moving out of Madi’s tiny LA studio apartment, we decided it was time to get Pickles a friend!

Our first concert back in Colorado with all of our friends!

A wild ride for our next out of country trip together! We got to hike in the jungle, visit coffee farms, and relax on some of the beaches

We all went to one of our closest friend Kevin's hometown for Salida's annual whitewater rafting river festival
June 2024 | Telluride
We tried out van life for a weekend trip out in Telluride! We also went on the world famous Telluride Canyon Via Ferrata
July 2024 | Moving to Lakewood
We bought our home in Lakewood and moved in with the help of our good friends
Aug 2024 | Grand Tetons
We visted Jackson Hole and backpacked in the Grand Tetons up through the Cascade Canyon to Holly lake

October 5th, 2024 Daniel planned a weekend camping trip with some of our close friends and family to suprise Madi out by Jefferson lake as the Aspens changed

We went down to New Mexico to try out a new ski resort with our friends

We had a nice stop over in London before heading out to our other destinations on our trip!

We went to our first European Electronic Music festival with some of our close friends from college

We got to have a quick stop over in Belgium while on our way to and from Rampage - we can’t wait to go back and explore more sometime!

While visiting Daniel’s parents in Orlando we got to go kayak around some manatees while they were inland in the hot springs for the winter!
